The UCLA Fielding School of Public Health has an opening for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor with a joint appointment in its Departments of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Responsibilities include research, teaching, and advising graduate students in both the Biostatistics and Epidemiology Departments.
The mission of the NIOSH-funded Southern California ERC is to educate professionals in the fields of occupational epidemiology, occupational medicine, industrial hygiene, and occupational health nursing through academic programs and continuing education; conducting research in occupational health and safety and related areas; providing outreach and resources to educational and professional organizations, and by educating non-academic stakeholders including business, labor, and vulnerable worker populations.
Reporting to the Center Director, the Assistant Director works with team members to provide administrative and academic project coordination, interdisciplinary curriculum development, liaison with funding agencies and professional organizations, event planning and fiscal projection support related to the work of the SCERC. In collaboration with the Center Director, Program Directors, and other faculty, the Assistant Director participates in grant writing and all stages of occupational health related research projects and assists training students in research methods.
