Preparing effective and persuasive application documents for academic positions is integral to successfully gaining employment after graduate school or a postdoctoral position. In this workshop, participants will learn how to most effectively package and communicate their research and teaching experience in a Cover Letter.


Participants will leave this workshop: 

  • Knowing how to write a targeted Cover Letter accounting for the position and institution
  • Understanding clear formatting guidelines
  • Awareness of how to best represent themselves and stand out on paper


Bring 2 hard copies of your Cover Letter to receive feedback and expert advice on how to best prepare your documents. Given the high level of interactivity in this workshop, spaces are limited and RSVP is required.
