The Epidemiology Student Association, in collaboration with the Department of Epidemiology, is very excited to announce the October UCLA Department of Epidemiology Seminar Series, featuring Andrea A. Kim. Dr. Kim is a chief epidemiologist for the Division of HIV and STD programs at Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.

Dr. Kim will discuss the role of the Acute Communicable Disease Control (ACDC) Program Education Sector Team in the COVID-19 Response for Los Angeles County; the processes for contact tracing and outbreak response in Institutes of Higher Education; and how data are used to inform public health strategies.


Michael Prelip
of FSPH's Department of Community Health Sciences will provide a brief introduction of the role FSPH faculty, staff and students have played in California's training program for case investigators and contact tracers.
