Fielding School Career & Professional Development Office | "Maximizing Your Internship Experience"

The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) recently reported from the 2019 Internship & Co-op Survey that intern to full-time offer rates are at 70.4%. Together with NACE’s Job Outlook survey that found over 75% of employers hiring full-time candidates are seeking those with relevant work experience, this should be quite motivating to make the most of your internship or fellowship.

A syndemic model emphasizes how intertwined epidemics arise from adverse conditions (e.g., economic and social marginalization, political oppression) and interact to adversely affect health outcomes (e.g., acquisition and transmission of infectious diseases) within marginalized and disenfranchised communities.

Dr. Klausner will discuss how epidemiology may be used to perform high impact research that transforms medical and pubic health policy. Using examples from his own research, he will share key studies, study designs and novel analytic methods in several infectious diseases.
