Ebola: Meeting the Greatest Challenges

On Oct. 30, 2014, the Fielding School and the World Presidents’ Organization-Young Presidents’ Organization (WPO-YPO) hosted a panel discussion on Ebola at UCLA's NRB Auditorium. The goal: Explore the past, present and future of Ebola while educating attendees about the diesease, what has been done to stop its spread in the U.S. and abroad, and preparedness efforts. The discussion offered both a local and global perspective from panelists with a wide range of expertise and first-hand experience in studying and controlling infectious diseases both at home and abroad.

Female Condom Introduction in Sub-Saharan Africa: Challenges and Lessons Learned

Come join us for this Bixby Lecture given by nurse, midwife, and sexual health consultant Caroline Maposphere on her work in Zimbabwe's National Female Condom Strategy. Caroline has worked extensively in sexual and reproductive health research and policy development in southern Africa and around the world for many years. Lecture will be followed by a Q&A session and lunch will be provided. No RSVP needed.
