The Inaugural APRU Crisis Management Webinar
Tuesday, September 29 | 5:00 PM PDT – 7:00 PM PDT | Via Zoom or YouTube Live
In collaboration with four APRU universities — University of California Los Angeles, University of Sydney, National University of Singapore, and Peking University — the Inaugural APRU Crisis Management Webinar, led by the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, will focus on the "Perspectives of the COVID‐19 Pandemic Epidemiology, Prevention and Control" in the Pacific Rim Region. China, Singapore, Australia and the United States have different patterns of COVID‐19 in incidence and mortality. This webinar will compare and contrast the epidemiological patterns and intervention strategies (risk communication, face masking, social distance, personal hygiene, stay at home order, tracing and isolation, etc.) among four countries in the Pacific Rim Region, summarize experience and lessons learned during the prevention and control of COVID‐19, and identify potential challenges, solutions and opportunities for control of the COVID‐19 pandemic. UCLA Chancellor Gene Block chairs the Association and will welcome attendees to the event with a pre-recorded message.
