PRESENTED BY FSPH'S UCLA CENTER FOR HEALTH POLICY RESEARCH

Join the Fielding School's UCLA Center for Health Policy Research for a discussion on the impact of the pandemic on the Filipinx community.  Ninez Ponce, director of UCLA Center for Health Policy Research and professor in the FSPH Department of Health Policy and Management, will discuss the severe impact of COVID-19 on this overlooked population, as many community members are frontline health workers, making up 30% of COVID-19 deaths when they only make up 4% of registered nurses nationally. An alarming 8 in 10 Asian health worker deaths are Filipinx, according to California data.
