If you are a doctoral student completing your degree and intending to participate in the Spring, 2022 Fielding School of Public Health Commencement, please note the following policy and plan accordingly. The following policy is in alignment with the Graduate Division’s policy on participation in the Doctoral Hooding Ceremony.
All doctoral students wishing to participate in the June 2022 Commencement and have their name listed in the commencement program MUST have filed and all committee members must have approved by May 30, 2022.
If a doctoral student files their dissertation after May 30, 2022 but before June 10, 2022, he or she can participate in the commencement ceremony but will not be guaranteed tickets for guests and WILL NOT have their name listed in the commencement program.
If you are planning to file in the Spring Quarter, you MUST submit a copy of the “E-mail Dissertation Submission Completion Confirmation” from Graduate Division to Arlecia Powell-Halley, aphalley@ph.ucla.edu, in the Office of Student Services BEFORE you will be eligible for your tickets.
Please contact Arlecia Powell-Halley at 310-825-5271 or aphalley@ph.ucla.edu if you have any questions.

Diplomas
Diplomas are produced by the UCLA Office of the Registrar. The name that is reflected in your official university record (not a student's preferred name) will appear on your diploma. If you would like a different name to appear on your diploma, please complete the Name Change or Correction form and return it to 1113 Murphy Hall no later than the last day in your degree-expected term in order to be reflected on your diploma.
The Registrar’s office will mail out diploma information approximately six weeks at the end of your degree term (winter graduates will receive their information in June; spring graduates will receive their information in August). If you would like your diploma mailed to you, download and print out this form. Fill in the required information and send it to the address on the form, along with your choice of payment options.
For additional information, call (310) 825-2754 or (310) 825-8883. To change your address, log into MyUCLA, go to Settings > My Contact Information and make the address updates.
