In the United States, there are more than half a million people experiencing homelessness, more than 150,000 of them are in California. Poor health can lead to homelessness and homelessness creates new, and exacerbates existing, health problems. How can public health play a role in reducing the burden of homelessness on health?

Please join us for a moderated panel of experts who will provide a broad view of the population at risk and the potential roles of medicine, housing, and a combination of the two. These experts will discuss street medicine, mobile clinics, and housing-first initiatives.
