Jennifer Wagman

Dr. Wagman earned her PhD in Reproductive, Perinatal and Women’s Health and her Master’s degree of Health Science in International Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health; and a Bioethics and Health Policy Certificate from the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics. Her postdoctoral training, completed at the UC San Diego School of Medicine, was in alcohol and substance use, HIV and related infections. Since 2000, Dr.

Dvora Joseph Davey

Dr. Joseph Davey's research focuses on how best to prevent and treat HIV and other sexually transmitted infections in peri-conception, pregnant women and couples, as well as other vulnerable populations. She has expertise in study design and use of epidemiological methods to inform interventions aimed at reducing the burden of HIV and related diseases on women, children, and families.

Amy Wohl

Dr. Amy Wohl is an Epidemiologist who has worked for the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (DPH)/Health Services (DHS) for 26 years. She currently oversees the Program Evaluation Unit in the Los Angeles County Health Agency and DHS Office of Planning and Data Analytics where she conducts research and evaluation on health outcomes and service utilization for high-need Medi-Cal clients and DHS patients.

Lisa V. Smith

Dr. Smith has extensive experience teaching applied research skills. Since joining the UCLA faculty in 2001, she has co-taught several popular courses designed to enhance students’ skills in public health research including EPIDEM 411: Research Resources in Epidemiology and EPIDEM 230: Sexually Transmitted Disease Prevention and Control. She currently teaches EPIDEM M403: Computer Management and Analysis of Health Data Using SAS (Fall/Winter) and EPIDEM 404: Advanced SAS Techniques for the Management and Analysis of Epidemiologic Data (Spring). Peter R. Kerndt

Dr. Kerndt received a B.S. in Biology from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and his MD from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa. He completed a rotating Internship at San Francisco General Hospital in San Francisco, California and an Internal Medicine Residency and Chief Medical Residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
