Improving Health and Social Outcomes in LA County: A Humbly Radical Proposal

Featuring:
Frederick Zimmerman, PhD

Poverty and inequality are tremendous social problems and also represent a tremendous deadweight loss to the economy. Reducing the waste associated with poverty in Los Angeles County will enable the region's economy to grow more rapidly, producing social and economic benefits for the community to share. Dr. Frederick Zimmerman, Chair of Health Policy and Management, is one of the leaders of the Engage LA project which hopes to unlock the immense potential currently trapped in unproductive crime, poverty and poorly used resources. In this webinar, Dr. Zimmerman will describe the project's radical engineering approach to solving these immense problems in Los Angeles County.
