Wireless health is revolutionizing health care delivery by increasing unrestrained access to health-related information; improving ability to diagnose and track population health; and providing continuing education and training for health workers. As last year’s number of U.S. physician office visits reached 1 billion, mobile health technology may be the next avenue to promote health and bring down costs of care on a larger scale. More than 40,000 health apps exist across multiple platforms and some users check their devices upwards of 150 times per day. In this health forum panelists discussed how big data, digital health solutions, and handheld devices are transforming health care and health care management.
