On April 23, 2013, Fielding School professor Dr. Antronette (Toni) Yancey lost her battle with lung cancer at age 55. During the last few weeks of her life she was followed by a Showtime documentary crew as she reflected on her career as an advocate for healthy living. A public health champion and Fielding School icon, Dr. Yancey pioneered the Instant Recess program and co-founded the Fielding School’s Center for Health Equity, both of which continue to transform community health today.

Dr. Yancey will be featured on the Showtime series “Time of Death,” which takes an intimate look at the lives of people who are terminally ill. The episode will air on Friday, Nov. 22 at 9 PM on Showtime.
