Sudipto Banerjee, professor and chair of the Department of Biostatistics at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, has been named the 2018 fellow of the International Society for Bayesian Analyis.

Sudipto Banerjee, professor and chair of the Department of Biostatistics at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, has been named the 2018 fellow of the International Society for Bayesian Analysis.

Banerjee is an expert in statistical modeling and analysis of geographically referenced datasets, Bayesian statistics and hierarchical modelling and statistical computing and related software development.

The mission of the International Society for Bayesian Analysis is to promote the development and application of Bayesian analysis. Fellows include members of the society who have made outstanding contributions in some aspect of statistical work related to publication, teaching or service.
