2019 UCLA FSPH Commencement

The UCLA Fielding School of Public Health celebrated more than 225 graduating MPH, MS and PhD students in a ceremony at Royce Hall attended by family, friends,students, alumni, faculty and staff.

The UCLA Fielding School of Public Health celebrated more than 225 graduating students at the 2019 Commencement Ceremony in Royce Hall on Friday, June 14. With nearly two thousand family members, partners, friends, students, alumni, staff and faculty in attendance, degrees were conferred by Fielding School Interim Dean Ron Brookmeyer.
 

 
The 2019 UCLA FSPH keynote speaker, Mr. Bernard J. Tyson, chairman and CEO of Kaiser Permanente, gave a speech in which he shared, "You are the great agents of change in our America.”

Co-presidents of the Fielding School's Public Health Student Association Mark Alsay and Ivan Barragan presented Chandra Ford, associate professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences and director of FSPH's Center for the Study of Racism, Social Justice & Health with the 2019 Faculty Teaching Award, and read the Fielding School's Student Pledge.
