“We are reaching the point of no return”

CNN interviewed Anne Rimoin, UCLA Fielding School of Public Health professor of epidemiology and director of the Fielding School’s UCLA Center for Global and Immigrant Health, on the state of the U.S. response to the pandemic.

“We are reaching the point of no return, where it is going to be (going) from an unmitigated disaster, to an uncontrolled disaster,” Rimoin said. “We are really at a key point here. We need people to be doing everything they can, everybody doing their part: wearing a mask, social distancing hand hygiene, avoid crowded places. You know, our ability to control this virus rests on all of us doing the right thing. And to do the right thing, it is as I said, wear a mask, social distance, and hygiene.”
