Dean Emeritus Linda Rosenstock to receive 2016 New York Academy of Medicine Award

Dr. Linda Rosenstock -- professor of health policy and management as well as environmental science at the Fielding School -- will receive the New York Academy of Medicine's 2016 Stephen Smith Award for Distinguished Contributions in Public Health.

The New York Academy of Medicine announced the recipients of its 2016 awards for distinguished contributions by individuals in health policy, public health, clinical practice, biomedical research and an individual who has made significant contributions to the Academy. 

Dr. Linda Rosenstock, Dean Emeritus of the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, will receive the Stephen Smith Award for Distinguished Contributions in Public Health for her leadership in occupational and environmental health while director of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), and in academia, making work environments safer for millions of Americans.
