As the Associate Dean for Finance and Administration, Allison Kamerman works closely with the departments, centers, and school leadership on administrative and internal financial policies and procedures as well as planning for the future of the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health (FSPH). Allison has been an administrator in the school for almost two decades. For the last ten years, she served as the Department Manager for the Department of Health Policy and Management (HPM), increasing financial stability and operational efficiency, and facilitating a service-oriented environment. During the course of her tenure with HPM, she also served as interim manager of the school’s Departments of Biostatistics, Environmental Health Sciences, and Epidemiology. In serving in this capacity, Allison built shared values and positive relationships with colleagues from across the school. Previously, Allison spent seven years as assistant director of FSPH’s Center for Public Health and Disasters, where she managed all human resources as well as pre- and post-award administration. Prior to UCLA, she served as the Program Manager in the Publications Directorate for the American Geophysical Union in Washington, D.C. where she was involved in program and fiscal planning.

Allison received an MS in Applied Behavioral Science with an emphasis in Organizational Management from the Johns Hopkins University. Allison strives to foster a collaborative and supportive environment among the faculty, staff, and students. She cares about and believes in the people at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health.
