Nora Sweeney is the Career Services Advisor for the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. Nora is also the Career Services Advisor for the CDC UCLA Public Health Scholars Training Program where she leads professional development programming for cohorts of 35-40 undergraduate and recent bachelor’s degree-holding students each summer. She is an active member of FSPH’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee and enjoys collaborating with students, staff, and faculty to design inclusive, data-driven programming that fosters community-building. Nora’s background in education and program development ranges from teaching kindergarten to expanding a K-8 English as a Second Language program. Prior to joining UCLA Fielding's Office of Career Services, Nora worked as an Academic & Career Advisor at Tulane University where she supported undergraduate exploratory students and evolved her motivational interviewing advising philosophy of engaging students as the experts of their own professional and personal development. Nora graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and minors in Cognitive Neuroscience and Spanish from Temple University.
