Daniela Abrahamian, MBA
Daniela Abrahamian is the Program Director for The Poppy Project at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. The initiative focuses on advancing public health and equity by centering wellbeing in programming and development to foster resilient and sustainable communities. In her role, Daniela has successfully led the design, implementation and evaluation of various programs in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh (also known as Artsakh), empowering local communities while bridging their needs with global perspectives. Her projects have included launching the first large-scale National Case Investigation and Contact Tracing program for the Republic of Armenia, conducting a Household Demographic and Health Survey for Artsakh, and most recently, implementing the Community Wellbeing Project.
Daniela has also collaborated with various departments and programs at UCLA, such as the Virtual Training Program (known as VTA), the Workforce Project with the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the California Pathways into Public Health Initiative Fellowship Program (Cal-PPH) in collaboration with UC San Francisco and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).
Daniela’s expertise encompasses program and survey design and implementation, project and business management, sustainability, and marketing and communication across diverse sectors, including public, private, and non-profit. She holds a Master of Business Administration and is certified in Sustainability, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and Data Analytics. Daniela is passionate about sustainable development, global health and equity, innovation, and storytelling, all of which drive her commitment to making a meaningful impact in society.
