Falco J. Bargagli Stoffi

Falco J. Bargagli Stoffi, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics at the Fielding School of Public Health. Previously, he was a researcher at Harvard University. His research interests are primarily in methodological and applied (bio)statistics with a focus on applications of causal inference and machine learning in public and environmental health.

Dr. Bargagli Stoffi has an academic background in statistics, causal inference, and machine learning, with a joint Ph.D. from KU Leuven (Belgium) and IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca (Italy), and visiting research scholar positions at Stanford University and Harvard University.

Dr. Bargagli Stoffi has received multiple honors and awards for his research from, among others, the Society for Causal Inference (SCI), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the Health Effects Institute (HEI). His research was supported by the Harvard Data Science Initiative Postdoctoral Fund Award, which recognized his potential to advance the field of data science and its applications. His works have also been funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the U.S. National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and the Italian National Council for Math and Probability.
