Joelle Wolstein

Joelle Wolstein, PhD, MPP, MA is a research scientist at the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research and Lecturer in the Fielding School of Public Health, Department of Health Policy and Management. Her research has focused broadly on social and environmental determinants of health, including how these factors relate to obesity, health behaviors, and chronic conditions. In addition, she has studied barriers to health care and health disparities experienced by underserved populations, including people of color; lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people; low-income populations; and immigrant populations.

Wolstein received her PhD in Health Services from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, her Master of Public Policy from the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs, and her Master of Arts in Latin American Studies from UCLA.
