Melvin Fleetwood

A native of New Orleans and a graduate of the University of New Orleans, Melvin Fleetwood came out to Los Angeles in 1991 and joined the Navy two weeks after arriving. After four years in the Navy as a Damage Controlman, Melvin was hired by Bank Leumi USA where he worked for seven years. Upon the advice of a friend, Melvin interviewed for an administrative position in Radiation Oncology at UCLA and started working there in 2003. Three years later, he was hired in Radiation Oncology as a fund manager, where he remained for 12 years. In 2018, Melvin joined the Office of Finance in the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, where his duties include fund management, compliance officer, backup dept. security administrator, as well as purchasing and various other duties.
