Her work focuses on the impact of benefit design on quality of care and patient financial burden. She has been Principal Investigator on several grants aimed at studying the value of cancer care and/or end-of-life care. Dr. Gidwani uses a variety of methods to study the costs and outcomes associated with health service utilization, including techniques for causal inference from observational data and decision analysis.
