Sean Tan

Sean Tan (he/him) is a Senior Public Administration Analyst at UCLA Center for Health Policy Research. His primary duties as a researcher for the California Health Interview Survey (CHIS) include monitoring and evaluating health insurance coverage and access to care in California with a focus on priority populations, collaborating with CHIS funders and researchers in designing and implementing health policy evaluation studies, as well as identifying and advancing policies that promote health equity.

Sean graduated with a master's degree in Public Policy from the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs. Concurrent with his graduate education, Sean served as one of three David D. Bohnett fellows at the City of Los Angeles Mayor's Office. Sean received his bachelor's degree in Development Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. Sean was a Public Policy and International Affairs (PPIA) fellow and a recipient of the Chancellor's Award for Public Service during his time at Berkeley.
