Thomas Priselac
Thomas M. Priselac is an Adjunct Professor at the UCLA School of Public Health. He teaches the Principles of Organization Leadership class for the EMPH Program.
Mr. Priselac is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Cedars-Sinai Health System. He has held this position since January 1994. The Cedars-Sinai Health System is among the nation's leading providers of health services, graduate and continuing medical education services and medical research. Mr. Priselac came to Cedars-Sinai in 1979. Prior to being named President and CEO, Mr. Priselac served as Executive Vice President since 1988.
Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai, Mr. Priselac was on the executive staff of Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Mr. Priselac holds an MPH from the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Priselac is a past Chair of the American Hospital Association (AHA) Board of Trustees and he is a past chair of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). He formerly served as past Chair of the Council of Teaching Hospitals of the AAMC, The California Healthcare Association, the Healthcare Association of Southern California and the Healthcare Committee of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce.
Additionally, he previously served on the Board of Directors of VHA, Inc., the National Committee for Quality Healthcare, the California Healthcare Foundation and Blue Cross of California. He lectures extensively at professional meetings and universities on varied aspects of healthcare delivery and leadership.
