Elaine Batchlor is CEO of the new Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital, a state-of-the-art, private nonprofit safety net hospital which opened in 2015. She previously served as Chief Medical Officer of L.A. Care Health Plan and Vice President of Health Care Finance, Organization and Operations at the California HealthCare Foundation. Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. Batchlor’s priority has been to improve access and quality of care for underserved communities, utilizing innovative and collaborative approaches. Her work in this regard has been adopted throughout California. An active community volunteer, Dr. Batchlor serves on multiple community and healthcare boards.
