Larry Platt is a businessman, a lawyer and an expert in health system governance, strategic planning, executive succession planning, and philanthropic fundraising. He has been a board member at Cedars-Sinai since 2000, including a term as Chairman of the Board from 2011 to 2014, and he is currently Chair of the Cedars-Sinai Health System Board of Directors. Additionally, he has been on the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group Board of Directors since 2005 and the health system's Accountable Care Board of Managers since 2012. In these roles, he led enterprise-wide strategic transformation at Cedars-Sinai, as Co-Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee. Also, he launched one of Cedars-Sinai's most ambitious fundraising initiatives (raising $357 million for the Medical Center's research endowment), as Chairman for Cedars-Sinai's Discovering for Life Campaign.
In addition to his roles with Cedars-Sinai, Larry is Chair of the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health Board of Advisors. He has served on the American Jewish Congress Board of Directors and is currently a member of the Music Center Leadership Council of Los Angeles, World Presidents Organization, and Young Presidents Organization/Santa Monica Bay Chapter.
