Lori Pelliccioni

Lori S. Richardson Pelliccioni is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, where she teaches health law. Her research centers on healthcare fraud, abuse in Medicare, and corporate compliance in healthcare organizations. She was the Principle Investigator of The Compliance Effectiveness Study and The Compliance Effectiveness Pilot conducted for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Previously, she served as an Assistant United States Attorney in California, prosecuting healthcare fraud. She has held key positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Foley & Lardner, LLP, DaVita, Inc., Amgen, Inc., and UC Irvine Health, focusing on healthcare compliance and legal counsel. Dr. Pelliccioni also served as the Federal Monitor for the U.S. Department of Justice in the U.S. v. Mantra Films, Inc., and MRA Holdings, LLC., the production company for Girls Gone Wild film series. She is currently President of Cambridge Healthcare Consulting, LLP, and serves as an expert witness in healthcare fraud litigation.

Dr. Pelliccioni has been actively involved in the University of California system, including serving as a Regent Designate and holding various roles on the UCLA Alumni Association Board and the FSPH Public Health Alumni Association and Health Policy and Management Alumni Association. In 2010, Dr. Pelliccioni was honored with the Ira Alpert Service Award from the Health Policy and Management Alumni Association for her service over the past years to the Department. She earned a bachelor of science from Moravian College, and Master of Public Health and PhD in Health Services from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health.
