In a career spanning three decades at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Dr. Marc Strassburg has held positions including Director of Web Informatics, Chief Epidemiologist, and Director of the Immunization Program. He has been involved in developing emergency preparedness plans and training protocols for bioterrorism, pandemic flu, and emerging diseases both for Los Angeles and other municipalities. Dr. Strassburg is an Adjunct Professor at the Fielding School where he received his MPH in Epidemiology in 1975 and his DrPH in Epidemiology in 1981.
