Dr. Michael Prelip currently serves as professor and chair of the Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS), was the Fielding School’s first associate dean for practice across the life course, and for many years served as the director of CHS’s MPH for Health Professionals Program. Today, prelip is an award-winning teacher recognized for his excellence in training the next generation of public health leaders through courses focused on working within and alongside communities to advance health. Prior to joining FSPH, Dr. Prelip worked for 15 years in community-based nonprofit organizations developing and planning programs focused on reproductive health, substance use prevention, primary care, HIV/Sexually Transmitted Infections, TB treatment, and immunizations.
