The UCLA Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Equity is accepting proposals for the 2027 Community Grants Program through to Friday, Jan. 22, 2027.
The UCLA Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Equity, in collaboration with the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center and Dr. Monica Salinas, invite the submission of proposals for projects to promote health equity among underserved populations in and around Los Angeles County. Grants of up to $5,000 each are available to support local community organizations in these efforts. While proposals may request up to the full $5,000, we ask that applicants request only the amount necessary to carry out the proposed project.
This year, we are accepting applications, on any topic, that address health inequities in our local communities. We are particularly interested in projects focusing on needs among low income, minoritized or other disenfranchised communities or population groups.
Projects may include, but are not limited to: needs assessments; patient screening and/or navigation; development, adaptation and/or distribution of educational materials; virtual and in-person educational experiences; program evaluation; other evidence-based and evidence-informed interventions.
Eligibility requirements:
- 501(c)(3) organization, including community and faith-based organizations, advocacy groups, coalitions, neighborhood associations, safety net clinics or other service providers.
- Located in, or service delivery in, Los Angeles County or surrounding counties (Ventura, San Bernardino, Riverside, and Orange).
- Selected recipients must satisfy all University requirements before the award can be issued.
UCLA faculty, staff and students are NOT eligible to apply or receive any funds through this mechanism. However, these individuals are encouraged to support and collaborate with community groups in their applications and projects.
