Moment of Reflection: Anniversary of Los Angeles Wildfires

One year after the devastating Los Angeles wildfires, the UCLA community is coming together in a spirit of connection and unity.

This event will include remarks from Chancellor Julio Frenk, a musical performance, and a quiet communal act of planting wildflower seeds, which is a symbolic gesture of hope and renewal following loss. We welcome guests to join us in this moment of reflection.

The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music Chamber Singers, featuring soloist Madison Chamberlain, under the direction of Professor James Bass, Chair of the Department of Music Performance, Education & Composition, will perform “Only in Sleep” by Ēriks Ešenvalds.
