NPHW 2025 at UCLA FSPH | Keynote Speaker: Jessica Maltay River
National Public Health Week is a nationwide celebration in April with the purpose of recognizing public health contributions and addressing key health issues. The Fielding School of Public Health has an annual tradition of participating in National Public Health Week by offering community events and volunteer opportunities hosted by student organizations and the FSPH central offices.
Keynote Speaker: Jessica Maltay River - Infectious Disease Epidemiologist and Science Communicator
Jessica Malaty Rivera is an infectious disease epidemiologist and science communicator with experience in emerging infectious disease surveillance, public health policy, and vaccine advocacy. Rivera specializes in translating complex scientific concepts into accessible information for diverse audiences and has served as the science communication lead for the COVID Tracking Project and as a senior science communication advisor at the de Beaumont Foundation.
