NPHW 2025 at UCLA FSPH | Volunteering: Fountain Community Garden

National Public Health Week is a nationwide celebration in April with the purpose of recognizing public health contributions and addressing key health issues. The Fielding School of Public Health has an annual tradition of participating in National Public Health Week by offering community events and volunteer opportunities hosted by student organizations and the FSPH central offices.

FSPH Meet Up: Fountain Community Garden Volunteer Day

From turning our compost piles, and spreading mulch, to weeding and cleaning up boxes, there's always something to do in our garden. You'll also have the chance to chat with other gardening enthusiasts, share tips, and make new friends.

Join us for Fountain Community Garden Volunteer Day on April 12th from 10am to 12pm where we cultivate a thriving, inclusive space in East Hollywood for organic gardening. Whether you're an experienced gardener or just starting out, you can lend a hand with composting, mulching, weeding, and more while connecting with fellow green thumbs. Bring your enthusiasm, comfortable outdoor clothing, and even food scraps for our compost program to help us grow sustainably

If the event is full, FSPH students can still meet up to help, but please bring your own gloves and water!

To register, see the "Schedule" link above.
