"A Kids Book About Public Health": New book by UCLA Fielding School alumn

Written by UCLA Fielding School alum Becca Yanniello (MPH '11), "A Kids Book About Public Health" explains what public health is and its importance to an audience of both children and adults through a combination of easy-to-understand, colloquial language and colorful, bright graphics.

Published in June 2023, this book is the newest release in a series that is focused on jump-starting inspiring and important discussions between kids and grown-ups.

In her book, Yanniello gives specific examples of how public health ideas and practices can be seen in everyday settings, including clean drinking water, seatbelts, and standards for produce and food to prevent illness.
