NBC | "Plague scare - Russian lab worker dies of suspected plague"
NBC interviewed Dr. Anne Rimoin, professor in the Department of Epidemiology, about a suspected case of pneumonic plague in Russia.
NBC interviewed Dr. Anne Rimoin, professor in the Department of Epidemiology and the Gordon–Levin Endowed Chair in Infectious Diseases and Public Health, about the suspected plague-related death of a Russian laboratory worker.
"Has it been sequenced? Do we know what's happened? We don't know, and so that's the big question,” said Dr. Anne Rimoin, professor of epidemiology at UCLA's Fielding School of Public Health. “We know that a young woman who worked as a lab tech in this facility passed away of a pneumonia of unknown origin."
