NPR (KPCC-FM) | "HHS plans to cut 10,000 jobs as part of a major health agency overhaul"

KPCC-FM (NPR affiliate, Los Angeles) interviewed Dr. Timothy Brewer, professor of Epidemiology at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and of Medicine, and a member of the Division of Infectious Diseases, at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, about planned cuts at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

" 'I think we also need to mention that they’re clawing back $11.4 billion in pandemic (spending). And I think the combination of those two things, the cuts in the funding and the cuts in people, will significantly impact public health at the local level,' said UCLA’s Dr. Timothy Brewer."
