UCLA Fielding students selected for prestigious ASPPH This Is Public Health Ambassador program

Sarah Stigers, MPH student in the Department of Health Policy and Management, and Lauren Morales, MPH student in the Department of Community Health Sciences, have been selected by the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) for the 2023-24 This is Public Health (TIPH) Ambassador program.

The ASPPH TIPH Ambassador program serves to spotlight and feature extraordinary graduate students across ASPPH member schools, as well as their stories of dedication and interest in the field of public health.

“I come to the field of public health as a type-1 diabetic myself, and have dedicated my work towards political advocacy, research and policy analysis dedicated to solving health inequities among those with chronic illnesses," shared Sarah Stigers, health policy and management MPH student, in her personal self-statement.

Lauren Morales, community health sciences MPH student stated, “I would love to share my passion about public health. I would also love to provide support to students who have similar interests to mine and continue to uplift voices from people who have similar backgrounds as me.”
