Lisa Caplan

Lisa leads Accenture’s Technology Strategy & Advisory practice for Health and Public Services for the Americas and is based in Los Angeles.

Over 25 years of experience in healthcare consulting, software vendor, and IT delivery/operations. Lisa served as the care delivery CIO for Kaiser Permanente, a multi-market, integrated health system. Lisa oversaw the strategic planning, acquisition, software engineering, and support of technology used in the system’s 40+ hospitals, 800+ medical office buildings, as well as virtual care platforms.

Lisa has led global delivery teams and served as the accountable IT executive for many large, complex programs involving both payer and provider efforts. Lisa has managed teams up to approximately 2500 employees and 1000 external suppliers. She also served as IT incident commander, including efforts to support the COVID-19 response. 

Lisa has also served as EVP and global CIO for a health IT association (HIMSS), overseeing corporate technology, innovation, thought leadership, and informatics, 

Lisa has a BS from Loma Linda University and an MPH from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. Lisa was named one of the Premier 100 leaders by ComputerWorld, one of the Top 50 Women in Technology by the National Diversity Board, and a Top 100 CIO by Tech Inclusion. Lisa holds executive certifications from Harvard Business School and MIT/Sloan.
