Dr. May Wang joined the faculty as associate professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences in 2008. She received an undergraduate degree from the National University of Singapore, a master's degree in nutritional science from the University of Texas at Austin, and master's and doctorate degrees in public health from the University of California at Berkeley. After obtaining her doctorate degree, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University School of Medicine where she was trained in the emerging field of pediatric bone health research.

Dr. Steven M. Teutsch, MD, MPH is an adjunct professor at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health; Senior Fellow at the Public Health Institute; and Senior Fellow at the Leonard D. Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics at the  University of Southern California. 

Stephanie L. Taylor is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Health Policy and Management at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and in the Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.  Dr. Taylor’s primary appointment is Senior Investigator at the Greater Los Angeles VA. As a health services researcher and sociomedical scientist with over 25 years’ experience in effectiveness and implementation research, Dr.

Dr. Marissa Seamans, PhD, MSPH, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology. Dr. Seamans’ research focuses on the intersection of social epidemiology and pharmacoepidemiology to address substance use and mental health. Her work explores the use of large healthcare databases to examine prescription drug use in families and the effectiveness of treatments for mental health and substance use disorders. Methodologically, Dr.

Elizabeth Rose Mayeda (she/her) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. Dr. Mayeda's research focuses on identifying modifiable determinants of cognitive decline and dementia among older adults. Her research program has both applied and methodological themes. Her research focuses on identifying effective population-level strategies to promote late-life cognitive and brain health. She also leads work addressing methodological challenges in longitudinal studies of cognitive aging and dementia risk.

James Macinko, Ph.D., is Professor of Health Policy and Management and Community Health Sciences. He is a health services researcher specializing in global health and health policy analysis. Main areas of research include assessing the impact of health reforms and policy changes, developing tools to evaluate health system performance, and exploring the role of health policies and services in the production and potential reduction of health inequities. 

Dr. Robbins is a professor in the Environmental Health Sciences Department, and the School of Nursing. She holds faculty appointments with the UCLA Center for Occupational and Environmental Health, Molecular Toxicology IDP, and Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Dr. Anne Pebley is a social demographer and public health specialist who works on a wide range of issues related to social inequality and the determinants of health, both globally and in the United States. She is well-known for design, conduct, and analysis of social and health surveys, with the goal of answering key policy and basic research questions.

By training, I am both a clinical psychologist and an epidemiologist.

Dr. Li joined UCLA in 2019. He shares a position between the Fielding School of Public Health, Environmental Health Sciences Department and the School of Nursing, with a joint-appointment in the Fielding School of Public Health, Epidemiology Department. Before his appointment at UCLA, Dr. Li had been working in China and Germany with extensive experience on occupational health. He is an active member of the International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH) Scientific Committees on Cardiology in Occupational Health, and on Work Organisation and Psychosocial Factors.
