Dr. Robert Kim-Farley, professor in the departments of Epidemiology and Community Health Sciences, co-authored an editorial in the American Journal of Public Health on creating a "one-stop-shop" for trusted vaccination recommendations.
" ... In this climate of uncertainty, AJPH stands out for its unwavering commitment to scientific excellence. Since its first publication in 1911, the Journal has been a trusted source of peer-reviewed public health research, policy analysis, and expert commentary.
A recent agreement between AJPH and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) permitted the Journal to republish the AAP’s new, 2026 recommended immunization schedule for children in this issue. This republishing marks the first time in the 115-year history of AJPH to do so. It serves as both a first step and pivotal moment in cementing AJPH’s role in the dissemination of trusted vaccine guidance to the hundreds of thousands of domestic public health professionals through institutional and online access to the Journal. This partnership not only enhances the visibility and accessibility of evidence-based recommendations but also signals a broader commitment of both organizations to scientific integrity and public health advocacy."
