The Global Times (China) interviewed Dr. Jared Diamond, UCLA Fielding School of Public Health professor of environmental health sciences, about the themes of his Pulitzer Prize-winning work, Guns, Germs, and Steel, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Guardian quoted Dr. Lara Cushing, the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health’s Jonathan and Karin Fielding Presidential Chair in Health Equity and an assistant professor of environmental health sciences, about research that found the risk of any premature birth was 15% higher the day after a day of excessive heat.
