Health Policy and Management Visiting Scholars Program


A unique one-year program where individuals can learn more about health services issues, without participating in a formal degree program.

The Visiting Scholars Program in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health is a unique one-year program where individuals who are interested in learning more about health services issues without participating in a formal degree program may sit in on classes, work with faculty and students, and have access to department and university resources such as desk space, a computer, campus libraries, internet, as well as receive a certificate at the completion of their visit. Each visiting scholar has a faculty advisor who must be designated prior to acceptance to the program.

Both U.S. citizens and non-U.S. citizens are eligible to apply. The fee for the program is $4,000 per quarter ($16,000 per year*). Those interested in applying should send a cover letter and curriculum vitae/resume to:
