New York City's The City Reporter interviewed UCLA's Dr. Katherine Chen (UCLA Fielding PhD, '23) about research she led into emergency room visits in New York City. UCLA Fielding's Dr. Frederick Zimmerman and Dr. Kathryn Leifheit, both with the Department of Health Practice and Management, are among the co-authors of the study.
“ 'Particularly for vulnerable neighborhoods, this program might help tenants avoid ED visits, and so we will be doing future research to try to dig into that a little bit more deeply,' said Dr. Katherine Chen, lead author of the study and an assistant professor at UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine."
