Dr. May Wang joined the faculty as associate professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences in 2008. She received an undergraduate degree from the National University of Singapore, a master's degree in nutritional science from the University of Texas at Austin, and master's and doctorate degrees in public health from the University of California at Berkeley. After obtaining her doctorate degree, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University School of Medicine where she was trained in the emerging field of pediatric bone health research.

Dr. May Sudhinaraset, PhD is a Professor and Vice Chair in Community Health Sciences in the School of Public Health at UCLA. She is trained as a social epidemiologist from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her research focuses on understanding the social determinants of migrant, adolescent, and women’s health both globally and in the US.
Dr. Anne Pebley is a social demographer and public health specialist who works on a wide range of issues related to social inequality and the determinants of health, both globally and in the United States. She is well-known for design, conduct, and analysis of social and health surveys, with the goal of answering key policy and basic research questions.

Dr. Randall Kuhn (Ph.D., University of Pennsylvania, 1999) is a demographer and sociologist focused on the social determinants of health among vulnerable populations. He is an expert in survey design, longitudinal analysis and counterfactual research design. Dr. Arturo Vargas Bustamante is a Professor at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health in the Department of Health Policy & Management and serves as Faculty Research Director at the UCLA Latino Policy and Politics Institute. The primary focus of his research has been on health care access and utilization, particularly among Latinos/Hispanics and immigrants in the United States. He has also contributed to border and international health care research, as well as chronic care management research in primary care settings.
