UCLA Fielding's Dr. Yifang Zhu, professor in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences, was interviewed by NBC (KNBC-TV) about her research into air quality in the aftermath of the 2025 Los Angeles County wildfires.

"We measured volatile organic compounds, which are, essentially, chemicals, in the air, inside and outside people's homes," Zhu said. "What really surprised us was how much higher those chemicals can stay inside homes, compared to outside, after the fires were over."
